HEALING

Before going deeper into erotic filmmaking, I spent years as an apprentice in body de-armoring to learn ENERGETICS and HEALING. | N / O

“The body of Christ is divided because we are divided in our bodies. We have to return to our body, the original church. It is the means through which we connect with one another other authentically. When there is blockage — and there is always blockage — experiencing the radical aliveness of the HOLY SPIRIT as ENERGY is the proverbial reboot that helps us remember who we are.”

When cognitive therapy and medicines are unable to reach our deepest wounds, the issue is in the tissue. Stored in our body. Remembered like a brain.

This part of my work is with my healing partner Dr. Kristina Kincaid; theologian, anthropologist, healer, and author. I’ve been her apprentice for over 8 years in the healing practice of body de-armoring, based on the science-based research of Wilhelm Reich. In our group containers, we cultivate energy in our bodies together — an Aliveness — that gives us voice and orientation. It also articulates traumas and blockages in our system. It’s a remembering of who we are.

We invite and contextualize the radical Aliveness Christians know as the HOLY SPIRIT (or Life Energy). Through somatic exercises, prayer, and clothed connection, we can articulate and move through the blockages that prohibit us from being our authentic selves. These events are endearingly named REVIVAL.

  • Dr. Kristina Kincaid is an Anthropologist, Theologian, Master Embodiment Practitioner, Relationship and Sexuality Teacher, Speaker and Author.

She holds an MA and a Doctorate in Theology and Energy Medicine from Holos University. A graduate of the Institute of Core Energetics and the prestigious Barbara Brennan School of Healing, Kristina also earned a BA in Anthropology from the University of Texas, Austin.

Dr. Kincaid is known for her transformative work around sexuality, personal growth and intimate relationship with self and other through the body.

Kristina has traveled the world studying with powerful Healers of our time- from the most primitive to the most advanced, cultivating an extensive background of bodywork and energy healing rooted in science. Her passions include the mysteries of the body. Her own personal healing journey has taken her into deep explorations of healing around sexuality.

Kristina’s personal mission is to teach conscious relating that is an affront to shame and guilt. Her commitment is to spark a movement of embodied practice that empowers women and men to take responsibility for their own arousal and desire resulting in the full liberation and reclamation of their true potency and power.

Film Study 073118 | Featured below is a yab-yum demonstration at a work-shop in the Netherlands. In this demonstration, Dr. Kristina Kincaid works with energy currents as the masculine counter-part of presencing while I demonstrate the feminine counter-part of surrendering.

THE WORK

Breath-work and movement is all we need to push our bodies and to a point of exhaustion. This dizzied, exhausted state puts us in sync with our dizzied, exhausted bodies. When we eye-gaze from this de-armored state, we can see each other easier.

Added to this, if we are lifted to a higher state with euphoric music, we transcend together, and it’s this distinction, this feeling of communal transcendence that de-armors us even more.

From this place, we feel a ONENESS that was forgotten. We become connected again, as one humanity.

It is my belief that the frequency we collectively evoke in this space, an energy literally transferred through beings, is the vibration of LOVE.

Yab-Yum | Featured at REVIVAL Events

A deeper dive into this container would include a Yab-Yum demonstration, which means “father-mother” in Tibetan. This timeless tantric practice aligns energetic centers of the body to invite fluctuating currents of energy to articulate and navigate around blockages.

It helps the man to sublimate, and the woman to surrender as she feels supported and uplifted by her partner. At the same time, it encourages an incredible intimacy between the partners at every level. Your bodies are entwined as close as is possible. Heart to heart, melting into each other.

YAB YUM | HOLY TRINITY

In Christianity, the HOLY TRINITY is the sacred symbol representing the God-Head; a universal pattern of inter-relationship throughout cosmos.

What if the Holy Trinity and the yab-yum are synonym? If so, what would that look like? The father (yab) is God, the mother (yum) is the Holy Spirit, and the Divine child is Christ, the presence of God in the Here-and-Now; Heaven-on-Earth.

In this context, it is through the cathartic connection of bodies allured together that we can experience the EROTIC CHRIST, the Aliveness of the Divine, an embodiment of infinite possibility, God in the Here-and-Now; Heaven on Earth.

YAB-YUM DEMO

This video clip features a yab-yum demo with Dr. Kristina Kincaid and myself, which is how we begin opening the REVIVAL spaces. Our presentation is unique, and more dramatic. The intent is to provide a distinction of the energies at play. It may look like a performance here, but it is not. What you are witnessing is an embodiment.

As you watch this film study, take a moment to feel into your body. What is your body’s reaction? What is it feeling? Where in your body do you feel it? Are you feeling numbness? When the camera pans around the room showing all who are watching, what do you feel? Can you feel an amplifying by watching them watching the demonstration? Or nothing? These are questions you are expected to confront at these events.

REVIVAL | From seeker, to Apprentice, to Co-Facilitator

Stories are an ancient technology. They are remembered 22 times more than facts. The following video is a storytelling of my experience — from my wounding as a Christian from purity culture, to discovering eroticism filming the yab-yum, to following that thread into Kristina’s story and finding the parallels of mine. It is the emotional journey into my apprenticeship into this space and it frames my attitude regarding these REVIVAL workshops — that Energy and the Holy Spirit are the same.

“Nathanael healed me through his filmmaking. It was an extraordinarily healing to see myself through his perspective. Through his eyes.
